Hi Susan. Thanks for the information. Our next stop after Konstanz is Lindau. If the north side of the lake is too busy, maybe we'll head inland like you suggested. Thanks 👍

Hi Keith. It didn't seem like we were getting to far today as we made many small stops along the way. But, we did stay relatively dry.

Hi Steve. Glad you got 'clued in' and didn't miss this wonderful town. I see you're taking the grandkids to Europe! You and Dots are brave, but also great grandparents.

On our first time by here, we skirted right around the outside of this wonderful square, and only clued in when we saw a camera brandishing tourist on the other side!

Yes they are spectacular. Glad you had a great ride today dodging some rain.

Al uses his Swim Buddy (yes, that's what it's called) for open-water swimming. He can put his valuables in the dry-bag section, inflate it, and attach it to his waist. It floats along behind him and makes him visible in the water as he swims. He hasn't tried it for just floating along...

I was looking at your itinerary and thinking that when you reach Lake Constance the bicycle path on the north side of the lake is bound to be very busy. It's part of the Bodensee-Radweg and is extremely popular. Maybe it doesn't work for you to reroute but if you go inland there are many small roads. The region is Allgäu and beautiful countryside.

Yes. That's it. Spätzle! Really good. I imagine it going well with Boeuf Bourguignon! Got to try that!

Egg based noodles = Spätzle
I grew up on Spätzle. Have them along with Boeuf Bourguignon!😋

We did this section of the Rhine but on the German side of the river in 2014 - our first tour. Here’s a link to our journal if you want to have a look at our experience.

Enjoying following along - mirrors our ride in 2014 - a great route.

Hey Elmar. We wish we had more time to visit some museums and art galleries, as well as see some of the architecture. Looking forward to riding with you guys when I get back.

Basel’s supposed to be a very interesting city. Lots of cool architecture apparently. It’s on the list!
