You will love France. We’ve done many bicycle tours there and enjoy it so much that we plan to spend March through May of 2012 there, then spend June, July and August in Great Britain then back to zfrance for 3 more months.
3 years agoI agree with you wholeheartedly! It definitely feels a lot safer in Europe. We have been cycling in Belgium, Netherlands and are now in Germany and they definitely feel a lot safer than the the US and bicycling lends itself to social distancing. Enjoy your trip!
3 years agoThank you so much, Keith! I enjoyed reading your Brittany journal. We have just applied for the pass sanitaire. The advice regarding how to get it as a foreign tourist changes so quickly. I wouldn't too surprised if the procedure changes yet again before our departure. Hopefully we will have it all sorted soon. Fingers crossed!
3 years agoHi,
Excellent choice of route. COVID rates MAY go up in September with the return to school, but you should be fine. Do get the vaccine “ passport” before you leave. Have a great tour, and if you have questions either I or another of the “frenchies” on this site will be glad to help where we can.
Cheers,
Keith
You have certainly put a bee in my bonnet. Radio helmets sound like a great idea. True it means just one more device to charge at night, but I am now convinced they would be a boon. Just recently I upgraded our toy/tool collection to include tablets so we could journal and post pictures from our cameras while on the road. I wonder if my husband is ready for more electronics!
