Indeed we do! Lyle and I have been enjoying for a few weeks now. They really are a delight to cycle on.
1 year agoGood job for persevering! Thank goodness for excellent rain gear. We had to break out all of ours the other day also.
1 year agoGetting a little wet was worth it Suzanne. It portrays your situation perfectly.
1 year agoI couldn't decide whether it was phantastic photos or fantastic fotos. Still didn't get it quight rite.
1 year agoWell, we really enjoyed the first half of theday. And I wasn't really soaked because l have good rain gear. It was tiring, though.

1 year agoWell, there’s a classic shot.
1 year agoAhh I bet that is what I saw too. Thanks for the insight.
1 year agoThe orangeness of those cliffs is fantastic. (Or should I spell it like you did a couple paragraphs below--phantastic?) What's inside those openings? Gold? Mummies? Bats? Vampires?
1 year agoVery true! Janos did more km's and climbed more meters - and he didn't even get to buy a cool Mount Ventoux jersey at the top.
1 year agoGreat color in the foreground. Great mountains in the background.
1 year agoI wasn't expecting to see any of your reports until the end of your tour, so imagine my surprise in finding this today. I'm all caught up now, but I am looking forward to YOUR version of the Mont Ventoux climb. I saw Susan's story already. And I also saw Janos' Facebook account of his fiasco while riding on his own. Sounds like you and Susan had it easy compared to what he went through.

Oh yes, there is definitely something to be said about having ALL the gear even if at first it seems so unnecessary! We here in the Pacific Northwest continue to have summer in May with temps in the high 80s and to 70s for the entire week to come. I know it will not last, but I am taking advantage of every minute. And just in case - I do carry those rain legs with me at all times!!!
1 year agoYour photos are beautiful and though I am a bit envious of your tour, I am happy to get your reports, your photos and you little stories thrown in. Living vicariously through you ;’). Happy cycling.
