I have thought to myself, when is the David doing laundry drama going to happen? I guess not yet. Ha!

This is our third time in Spain and I think we are finally getting the restaurant thing. What time are you hoping to eat? Many restaurants don’t open until 8:30 or 9 and if open earlier, it’s often just for drinks. Another way is what Team Anderson now does—eat a big meal at Spanish lunchtime, between 2 and 4 in the afternoon. For us, it varies according to how our day goes. A couple of days ago, we stuffed ourselves with three big meals (fuelling up with hotel breakfast, cold-and-hungry big lunch, then already-paid-for hotel dinner).

Quite a day! I challenge you to find a Spanish flag hanging in Catalonia. As far as I can tell, there are none. 🇪🇸

Well, there’s a day to look back on and savor. Glad it worked out!

Those separatists! They’ve been at it a long time. We biked through the region going the other direction into Spain seven years ago, right on the day when the secession vote was held. It was quite a scene, with secessionist flags hanging out of windows everywhere you looked and police monitoring the polling station. They really don’t want to be part of Spain any more.

Looks like the weather is in our favor!! At last!

I like your room criteria. The only thing I would add is having a queen bed without the annoying seam down the middle. We’re in a hotel in Portugal now with just such a bed but with a gaping crack. Heck, I might as well be in the next room.
