6 months agoWe have done this so many times - in fact just last week, when Rachael was sure she’d lost a bike glove until it showed up in the dirty laundry 3 days later.
Our record for this event though was six years ago, when I lost my iPad on day one of a tour. We looked everywhere, and I finally gave up and bought a new one. It was quite surprising to unload my panniers at the end of the tour and find two of them there.
It sounds like Komoot is problematic!

6 months agoLoving your blog. You are bringing back happy memories for me. We cycled a similar path on June 10, 2010. Lovely part of France.

I recognize that spot! It’s the Défile Anglaise, at Bouzies. We stayed there with Susan Carpenter and the Meyer-Wearys two autumns ago.

6 months agoIt seems we were a day ahead of you over Col Banyuls. It was a beautiful ride and nice to relive it as I catch up on your journal. It was also your journal I was thinking of when I asked myself where I’d recently seen the Croix des Sept Frères the day before yesterday.
People think we do aggressively scheduled tours but I think you win in that department! Glad your train worked out.
I’m sorry you’re getting such crummy weather! But it is funny how the weather almost always improves after you put on extra layers.
