Scott Anderson commented on a map in Montignac and Lascaux IV

This sounds really wonderful. I wanted to see Lascaux ever since my Art History 101 class, but of course normal people can’t see the real thing any more. Lascaux II didn’t really interest me when we biked through the Dordogne the last time, but this sounds well worth it.

Hi Jacquie - last year I didn’t bother bringing my down vest. I brought it this trip and glad I did. Tomorrow’s forecast is 3 degrees in the morning going up to 8 in the afternoon. May even have wear my long thermal tights tomorrow. Enjoying following along with you two.

Because it's downhill? We enjoyed the descent after Créon...

We haven't finalized our route back from Cahors but we might pick up the path in Sauveterre on our return to Bordeaux. We have a night tentatively booked at Chateau de Crécy, just off the path.

The Roger Lapebie is one of my favorite bike paths - it's even more fun biking back from Créon to Bordeaux. Enjoy your trip, I look forward to following along.

Looking forward to your ride too! You are almost two weeks in front of us. We will also be starting in Bordeaux and travelling to Saint Emillion, Bergerac, Le Buque and Les Exzies de Tayc for a couple of nights before heading south to the Lot and then on to the Tarn. Great to have a forerunner!

Jacquie Gaudet commented on Paris

I have always been a walker. It's my go-to stress reliever and has been since I was a teenager (I'd slam the door and walk for hours). Al, however, got sore feet.

Yikes, I got tired just mentally walking to all those points with you, and then getting on the RER!

Ah, score one for Apple. My PC with Windows 10 offers nothing that convenient!

It will get better! There is nothing more frustrating, especially when tired, than to be dragging boxed bikes around. They are so darn awkward.

On my MacBook or iPad, simply holding the key press brings up a menu of alternative letter forms. € is with other currency symbols on the same virtual keyboard as math operators.
