3 years agoThanks for your encouragement. To be honest we were quite nervous about writing the blog but the support of readers has encouraged us to keep writing every day. We have had a fabulous trip. Yes the Lisbon pics are coming. Thank you !

We enjoyed your Copenhagen to tip of Italy trip. We had hoped to follow in your footsteps for the southern Italy section at least but Covid changed our plans to this itinerary. We will do Italy soooon.
Sweet! Enjoy your last few days! 🤗
3 years agoSorry to see your trip coming to an end, but at least there will be a few more days and pictures from Lisbon.I have enjoyed your interest in achitecture and many photos.
3 years agoGreat trip and even better journal. Thoroughly enjoyed vicariously travelling along with you, the Spain and Portugal sections in particular. Neither of these countries have been high on our radar, but after the depiction of your experience of them, they are now! Safe travels back home.
3 years agoCongratulations on your arrival to Lisbon. I am not sure of your hotel's location, but may I suggest a highly-recommended tiny restaurant that my wife and I visited a couple of years ago. Ha Tapas No Mercado. If you read the reviews you will see how they love what they do, how they present it and how they source supplies from small family businesses. Absolutely delightful!
Even if not, enjoy Lisbon!!!
Wise decision to stay in Obidos. What a beautiful place!
3 years agoThat looks terrifying, even worse than the one in Marvão.
3 years agoWhat a beautiful picture of you Annie!💕
3 years agoAmazing!
3 years agoObidos is enchanting. Nice to hear you stayed. There is a (Roman?) aqueduct at the edge of town that is quite impressive.
3 years agoThis post brings back a flood of 25 year old memories and makes me envious - Nazare 25 years ago was one of my favorite spots in Portugal, but we only stopped for a snack break and continued on for a long, hard day. Back then Nazare was very quiet and its back streets were filled with old women in the traditional black dress.
The big event of the day though was that Rachael got a flat tire here. I fixed her well by flipping the bike upside down on the sand to repair the flat, and apparently kicked sand into her derailleur. It broke it, and she rode the rest of the way to Lisbon with only a single gear in the back.
Interesting picture! Love the bicycle parked on the balcony!

Thanks for following our blog. Thank you for the restaurant suggestion. It was actually quite close to where we had to go for our pre flight Covid test, alas it wasn’t open on Sundays.
