We hope that the flooding catastrophe in Kärnten und Slovenia did not afflict you!!
Plan to go north, if you do no have to cross Kärnten again for that!
And we wish you an end with all these thunderstorms!

Nice you got to talk to some people at your hotel. Yes with that weather I think I would like a hotel more than a tent. The path along the river looks nice also.

Don't think I would be in swimming with all that rain. Have fun at the festival.

It is a bummer that you didn't get to see the fair, but CONGRATULATIONS on passing the 2k miles mark today!! That is an awesome milestone!!

I guess you have implanted a new "words to the wise" in my brain: "Never judge a bagel by its looks".
That was a grueling hike-a-bike, and the slow pace pace of might have been nearly as painful as the actual physical labor! Way to grunt through it.

Brakes failing on a downhill would be terrifying, keep checking those pads. That plate dinnerware pattern looks familiar, just like Oma’s!

Wow, 3 really cool events that you just happened to ride upon --- rave in Norway, TDF in France and now the Fest in Villach. There were probably a few others that I'm forgetting at the moment. Enjoy the fest tomorrow!!

water hose rain - that's pretty intense. A flat tent site can make all the difference. Sounds like the camper next to you probably figured that out too.

What else would you have with wine in Italy but a whole pizza not sliced. Seems like the perfect carbo food for your climbs. Good luck tomorrow - hope the route is more clear with less traffic

The downhill, although I'm sure exhilarating, almost made me barf. You're going the same speed as the cars and motorcycles!

The summit looked amazing and the cheesecake was well deserved!

Can't fight mother nature. Sounds uncomfortable but interesting, as Californians are just not used to that kind of rain. Hope the rest is a little dryer.

Would love to have gone to that museum, so interesting. Not surprised about that pizza. Those italians don't don't sure small amounts, and must of been delicious.

Wow, a “Best pretzel” rating after nearly 2000 miles of biking, that could seriously improve their google rating! Hoping for better weather in Austria.
