Scott. I recalled you doing this hike, but I was not sure if you rode up there. There is no way I will be doing this climb at 70. You're a superstar. Seriously!
2 years agoGreat. Me either! Thanks for the feedback. Thought I may have been overdoing it with the dramatic scenery.
2 years agoNope.
2 years agoYou say you’ll never forget it, but you might surprise yourself. I had forgotten all about that agonizing climb to Tre Cime from Misurina four years ago: https://www.cycleblaze.com/journals/dubrovnik2018/to-dobbiaco-toblach/. Thanks for the reminder, I think.
2 years agoHi Keith. It's pretty stunning alright. It's nice to be back.
2 years agoHi Hannah. Thanks for taking the time to write. It's such an incredible area. Hope you get out on your own tour one day. I have a hunch that you'd love cycle touring. Hope you're good. I'm sure you're loving the break from school.
2 years agoReally enjoying the scenic imagery so far. So incredible. Glad you two are enjoying the trip, happy riding!!🚴🚴
2 years agoAn amazing place to cycle … brings back some fond memories of our ride in that area. Enjoy!!!
2 years agoHi Dave. So true. It was the right decision for us. Besides, we have more opportunities to hurt our legs in the coming days.😩
2 years agoIt's perfect for climbing, that's for sure. With the cassette sizes and lo g cage rear derailleurs out there, it's amazing how big you can go.
2 years agoHi Jacquie. I know, right. Things worked out pretty good. If only we could share clothes.😀
2 years agoExactly our experience! So frustrating, eh?
2 years agoHi Jacquie. HaHa. Maybe Al could carry it? But, it doesn't sound too keen on the idea.
2 years agoI was standing in line at MEC to buy chain lube and saw some really light "travel umbrellas" but Al nixed the idea. Maybe I'll get one for a future trip.

Funny how you don't really remember the things you zip by on a descent... We did the same route in reverse, Cortina to Caprile. I don't remember much from the summit because, by the time I get there, Al is antsy to get moving again.
