Wow. It looks like a slot canyon.

I love this building.

Hey Rachael. Our life saver is the air conditioning, for sure. In the mountains, the temps were hot, but they really cooled off at night. But, here on the Adige, it's down right oppressive. I remember your trip when you passed this way. You guys are always inspiring us with your routes. We have a very short 25km ride to Rovereto today, so we're not going to be in the heat for long.

I don’t know how you are dealing with the heat. We had one really hot day and it was awful! They don’t do air conditioning in the accommodations we are staying in. I’m glad you got an easier day and a hotel with air conditioning. We loved the route you took when we did it.

Hi Kathleen. Certainly was a highlight. Mountain storms are serious business. This region has unpredictable weather. There were a few big storm bursts while we were in Cortina. Sounds scarier than a tick bite. Thanks for writing.

The Sella Ronda! One of our highlights when we were in the area. Also the scene of some drama…not a tick…an unexpected and unrelenting mountain storm. The tick is worrying although fortunately the odds are with you.

Funny. I did a triple take before I correctly understood this. At first I thought it really was an artistic composition, topped with a black fedora. Like a Magritte painting.

Thanks Rachael. Sometimes I just don't feel like getting on my bike, especially after yesterday's big day. Besides, it's important that we also get our alone time. I'm sure you can agree:) Thanks for writing.

Amazing ride! Sue, I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one that likes to take the day off the bike to take a hike. It’s sure is a great area for hiking!

I agree 100% with you about taking walks and hiking in nature. Great idea about getting your luggage transferred. The ride looked amazing.
