Wow, what a beautiful bird. I’ve never seen one, but it’s a tricolored heron.

Not sure about a flycatcher, but it’s a pretty reasonable facsimile of a western bluebird.

We enjoyed both, but found the frantic energy of the markets too exhausting. We will probably stick with the calmer historical centre and the square next time ourselves.

I think we would stick to the historic center and enjoy the square. When we were there a band played one night and there were people dancing - lots of older couples. So fun to watch!

You might be interested to know that they have replaced some of the horse and buggy carts in Centro with electric carts and they have also developed a new transportation route that uses electric trams that leave from la gran Parque la plancha, a newly developed park of 22 hectares using the old train yards.

This is why I like to create routes at home on my laptop, so I can use Street View to check where the algorithm thinks cyclists should go. No Street View makes me suspicious and requires more investigation.

We always pack a small sealed (unopened) bottle of our preferred chain lube with our bikes when we leave for a tour. It saves hunting around to buy some. Al always wants to find a shop to buy CO2 cartridges before we start riding but we have never needed them. The chain lube always gets used.

It was actually up high up a power pole. The 40x zoom on the canera works like a hot damn.
