Keith Klein commented on ****The Covidian

Hi,
I’ve been jabbed three times, and had Covid three times. Each new infection is milder than the previous, but still. It hasn’t escaped me that the evolution of this bug follows the path we were taught to expect oh so many years ago in microbiology. Maybe Susan Carpenter can back me up on that. Anyway, great trip and I will be awaiting more.
Cheers,
Keith

Colder than a well digger’s butt, the Little K was renowned for its native brook trout. I’ll bet it still is.

Arrrgh. It’s 39C here and looking at that lovely water is torture. I wish I was there!

Hi,
Well done, bravo. The THWAPing of corks is music to my ears. And we’ll matched with the Tootsie roll.
I’m not surprised you fell asleep.
Cheers,
Keith

In my mind the only proper transportation on the St. Croix is a steamboat or maybe a raft.

Hi,
Ah, Selma’s! I once had to make an urgent pit stop when we got there, but I ordered before going to the loo, hopping around and crossing my legs. Ice cream too good to pass by.
Cheers,
Keith

Hi,
I remember a party many years ago now when we lived on Cedar Lake in Scott Co. when we drank som Alexis Bailey port. My recollection may be hazy, but it seems to me that the following morning it wasn’t just the grapes that were suffering. Caveat Bibulorum.
An aside: have you noticed how many « Cedar Lakes » there are in Minnesota? I have and it’s a lot. I’ll bet there’s one near you.
Cheers,
Keith

Hi Greg
The Winery visit may have been another potential infection site. Good that you only had mild symptoms. I had the worst sore throat that I can remember and I had three jabs
I wear a mask every time I enter a business premises but it is difficult to drink a coffee wearing a mask.
Stay well
Mike

King Henry 8 invented the Anglican Church (Church of England) because the Pope would not let him have a divorce from AFAICR his first wife Catherine of Aragon. A lot of those buildings are still standing

Jan. I got it despite being shot... Kept to myself in the basement for 2 weeks, going out to ride my bike alone daily.

Embarrassingly mild symptoms. Slightly more cough than normal, slightly more nasal drip than normal, 2 degrees above normal body temp. No other symptoms, only lasted 3 days. Second day wife said go get tested but I said I really felt fine, but she said go anyway... It was positive. A week later, I went back to the drive through testing location and got another positive test.

What I read now is that those who have had covid have a far stronger and longer lasting immunity than the vax and boosters... We shall see, I guess.

Stay tough!

Thanks Nancy. And I think you may be right about Covid hitting everybody at some point.

If only I had saved some Tootsie Roll & wine . . . That definitely would have made my breakfast a "Ten Jammer."

Sounds good Greg. You can only be so careful. I consider myself over-cautious and have never ditched the mask when inside anywhere, but I think it is a mere matter of time before it gets me — and maybe everyone. I am so glad you have weathered it well and that it has been ‘mild’.

Mmm, mac & cheese for breakfast! Hope you saved some of that Alexis Bailey and a tootsie roll to go with it.
