I can't let my hair grow .
. . I'm bald.
France, Iowa, what's the difference?
2 years agoEasily the best joke I've ever seen on any of my journals. I wish I would have been the one to write it. I used to play a fair amount of golf before getting into bike touring. I'm pretty confident I could get a hole-in-one on almost every one of those holes.
2 years agoAre you sure your not in France?
2 years agoHi,
Vanishing point roads, big rocks, giant strawberries and the occasional bit of greenery. Sounds like Iowa all right. And the CCC must have employed one of the best architects in America, not to mention the masons who did the field-stone construction. Looks like a great place to tour.
Cheers,
Keith
Only the 10 second part is difficult. The doofus part seems to come naturally.
2 years agoHi,
Looks like a golf course for the world’s most inept golfers, of which I am one.
Cheers,
Keith
I’ll have to check that out sometime, I love strawberries!
2 years agoYea! I look forward to following your mini-tour!

2 years agoTo adapt a common saying to the occasion, adventure is in the legs of the pedaler. A wonderful ride! The small roads of Iowa can compete with the wild trails of Romania. Thanks for letting us savor the details with you.
2 years agoI love the contrasting views of Iowa - it brings back fond memories of cycling down treeless IA county roads and unexpectedly finding a small oasis of trees, trails and streams in the state parks. Looking forward to more.
2 years agoI agree. The Prego/Ragu story is seriously funny.
2 years agoSeriously? 10 seconds? Impressive!

Thanks Susan. As you already know, Iowa has a lot to offer for the unsuspecting bike tourist.
