I really enjoyed following along. Your ride has covered some great areas that I wasn't super-familiar with. I'm sorry you have to bail early, but it's pretty clearly time to get yourself back home and try to get your body fixed. Looking forward to your next ride and journal!
1 year agoThat's a whole lot of miles. Should be very proud of the distance and how well you kept us all informed and entertained with your posts. Have a safe trip home.

1 year agoIt’s not SKS. The US rep, Marc Seeman, used to be in Paonia but is now in Ames, Iowa. He’s quite good, answers the phone.
1 year agoIs SKS Cycles the distributor? I did not know that. Paonia is just a skip over McClure Pass from us. I have stopped in at their tiny, tiny well stocked shop.
My husband has a Priority 600 bicycle with a Pinion. So far, so good. Although he does have a different bike with a Rohloff hub that seeps, which is very annoying.
Nice Roadrunner Tshirt!

1 year agoYou must be really happy with your non google diagnosis.
Good to know that there are scientific reasons supporting the use of click in pedals!!
Hope your pain subsides and you continue to have a great adventure.
1 year agoOver the last 2 weeks your route has essentially been the same as I rode in 2021, so it's been a trip down memory lane to follow you. I also had smoke issues and had to divert south due to road closure from forest fires. It may be too late now to be of any help to you, but here's my journal; https://www.cycleblaze.com/journals/warriordeath1/

Sad to see that you were forced to end the adventure early. But it was a great adventure and I enjoyed following along! Best wishes for future tours,
