That looks like the sort of downtown that should have an old movie theatre.

It took me a minute to figure out what "an all-expenses paid trip to the big white bowl" was. Now I get it. I got a good laugh out of it and an important lesson on what NOT to order in Thailand (if such a dish actually exists there.)

Thanks for the link. That was very interesting. I am 1/4 Finn, so now I know where my winter cycling roots come from. Also, I was surprised to learn that a city so close to the Arctic Circle has weather so similar to Minnesota's.

Yes, I did coach them. I taught them how to draft off each other like bicycle racers in a peloton.

That’s a dish that here in Thailand would likely win you an all-expenses-paid trip to The Big White Bowl. Looks delicious though!

Hey, Greg. I thought I’d pass on this article from the BBC that our friend Lynn shared with us: https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20231220-why-oulu-finland-is-the-winter-cycling-capital-of-the-world. If you ever make it to Europe, Oulu sounds like just your kind of place.

Pretty nice tight v formation by those geese. Did you coach them? :-)

Bob, I saw some video of the storms up your way on the national news. The rain is bad enough, but when it messes up the bike trails, that's REALLY bad.

It really did look good, that's why I had to take a picture of it. I wish I could have taken a picture of the flavor too.

I definitely agree with you on the lack of winter weather. Here in Vermont it was 60 degrees the other day and we got three+ inches of rain dumped on us. All our trails are still a muddy mess. Actually this morning, a semi-frozen muddy mess. I'll take snow and cold over that any day.

No need to complain about that. Fifty degrees is the beautiful temperature that exists between the beautiful temperatures of Zero degrees and one hundred degrees.

I guess I can’t complain about bicycling in 50 degree weather.

Groovy comment, Buddy. I got a good laugh out of your feeling the need to send a link clarifying what "flower power" means. You must think I'm a lot younger than I am.

Anyway, power to the people, far out, and try to enjoy the pain pills, even though I'm sure you'd prefer not to have to take them. (But, whatever you do, don't take the brown acid.)

I know. I don't think I will ever live down the guilt I feel about that. On the other hand--and I'm not sure about this--but The Feeshko probably substituted something the kids liked better than milk.

Another thing--and I think you might appreciate this--the wasted milk affected me more than anybody. I've always been the biggest milk-drinker in the house.
