I love the timing of the little yellow bike being there to pose for this colorful photo!
5 years agoCool video! Lovely music, interesting rock formations, and seriously impressive hand movements in the dance.
5 years agoBruce is rather good at imagining possible horrors and then being very pleased about being proven wrong. It was a delightful road in every way and having it prove us wrong was the icing on the cake.
5 years agoI'd like the "cu cee piss fish weakness" please. Sounds delicious!
And for dessert? It's tapioca time!
Wow .. bamboo shoots that grow up through tent floors and right through unaware sleeping campers?
I think I might rather be trampled by the wild elephants. Definitely before I discover the snake in my sleeping bag.
We’re still not even sure what that is.
5 years agoIt is. We think he’s watching “Hoarders”.
5 years agoHm, I didn’t think of that! More likely so they can plug in some decorative lighting on the king’s birthday or some other holiday. I don’t remember where exactly this was but sometimes even street vendors tie wires into the main lines (yikes) so they can have lights over their food stands, and if there happens to be a sacred banyan tree right there, well, how handy!
5 years agoThat reminds me a little of the guinea pigs-on-a-stick that we saw in Ecuador.
Not sure I'd want to eat that little fella if he was still wearing his fur coat.
Whoa! Is this the inside of the TV-watcher's home?

5 years agoI will definitely have to try this looking for money distraction strategy next time we're on a scary road.
I love finding money!
Here is the video we made about our time in Myanmar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjHCminnr5k
5 years agoWe really miss Myanmar and are ready to go back despite all the crap going on there. Much certainly has changed but it's surprising how much stays the same, and it is certainly unique among nations.
5 years agoI've so enjoyed your descriptions of Myanmar--so different than 33 years ago! It's probably changed a lot since the time of your visit in 2014.
Now I'm looking forward to reading about your time in Thailand (I was there before and after my trip to Burma).
Wow - those Thai lizards are big!
5 years agoGood thing you were resting when it walked by. Wouldn't be fun to outrun those long lizard legs on the little BF wheels ...
