Not so steamy. The next page will reveal an innocent conversation.
2 years ago"After dark, a solo woman arrived on a touring bike. " And? And!!?
You can't just leave the story hanging like that after writing what sounds like the start of a steamy romance novel. :>)
Oh boy, now the pressure is on. Stay tuned.
2 years agoThank you for your discretion, but I think the cat is out of the bag: I might be a voyeur. (NOT really true.)
2 years agoI will add my vote for a wine review. I'm sure many readers want to know about Wisconsin's best wines.
2 years agoHi,
Skinny dippers, bikini clad girls and fantasy suites! What kind of place is this? I wouldn’t mention this to the Feeshko. Don’t worry, I won’t tell a soul.
Cheers,
Keith
Glad you were able to camp and get a swim in!
2 years agoHi Adam, great to hear from you again. I was feeling like the wine reviews had run their course and were no longer appreciated. Thanks to your comment, I will have to reconsider.
2 years agoLooks like a great trip so far!
I am waiting with bated breath though for the first wine review. That's why I continue to show up here... :)
You are correct, it is pronounced with the short "a" sound. Pasties with the long "a" sound are something else entirely.
2 years agoI've eaten a pasty when traveling (in a car) through upper Michigan. It was really good. Do I recall correctly that the pronunciation is different from what you'd expect? That the "a" is pronounced like in the word "patsy" instead of "pastry?" It's been a while.
2 years agoYou're right, of course. Weather really is an important factor in a bike tour, and the worse it is, the greater the adventure.
2 years agoWell Greg, I rather like your weather reporting. After all it is mostly extremes of heat, cold, wind, storms and calm ;’-). That makes it interesting and allows me to continue the same on my blog 😊😉😏.
I am enjoying your tour with you — hills and all (since I don’t have ride them).
I remember reading that journal of your bike trip through the U.P., and I specifically remember the bison pasty. Someday I'm going to have try one of those.
If you do go through Mineral Point, it would be worth the side trip to the downtown area for a pasty.
Better than our clouds!
