Thanks Keith, and just a minor correction: Tours ARE great things.
Cheers to you too,
Greg
Hi,
Sadly even great things come to an end. Oh, and tours too.
Good job as always.
Cheers,
Keith
May I nominate you for the Pulitzer committee? I think I will need that vote you promised.
2 years agoYes, that 60 m.p.h. thing was quite preposterous. I've never been able to go over 58 m.p.h. (Ha)
Thank you for that fine cyclist's blessing at the end of your message. I loved it . . . seriously.
I really have no idea what's up next. Wherever I go, it's likely to be another spur-of-the-moment decision.
2 years agoThank you for following along, Nancy. And thank you for the compliment on my reporting.
2 years agoI’d vote for you getting the Pulitzer Prize! I agree with your philosophy about doing research ahead. Living in the moment and being surprised by beautiful scenery and wild critters is the best!
2 years agoThanks for the tour of Milwaukie, it looks like a great place to bicycle. I loved the video!
2 years agoWow, you can do headstands, too!
2 years agoGood idea.

And yeah, I remember the movie. Only thing that really bothered me was when he drafted the truck at 60 mph for an hour... But then, artistic license plays into it. (Drafting a truck on a 1 mile downhill spinning fast as possible at about 45, possibly 50 mph when I was in peak shape might have had a bit to do with my grim assessment.)
Hills, heat and headwinds to ya on those gravel roads! :-)
That was a fun tour - what's up next?
2 years agoI enjoyed your entire journal and loved seeing what you saw along your tour. Nice reporting for us. Will be waiting for your next one ;’-)
2 years agoThanks for the new word. I hope to be able to apply it to myself someday in just the right context.

Looking forward to your next journey!
