It's great to hear from somebody familiar with the Driftless Area. I've ridden in much of the Iowa portion, and look forward to expanding my horizons in the hills of Wisconsin.
2 years agoI love cycling in the driftless area of southwest Wisconsin. Looking forward to following along.

You, on the other hand are the real deal, even though, like me, things are wearing out...
I've always been a high-concept kind of guy. Ha!
2 years agoWow, a poem that comments on my poem. Love it! Thanks Suzanne.
2 years agoYes, the price of gasoline is one of several good reasons to tour close to home. I think I'll write something about that later on today.
2 years agoI seem to remember reading about that Minnesotan in your journal. Welcoming you to Minnesota while still in Wisconsin seemed a little strange, but then I saw him in your video and that confirmed just how strange he was.
By the way, the picture of me headstanding in front of the "Welcome to Wisconsin" sign (on the Journals Page) was taken in Prescott, where you had lunch that day.
I always like it when I get a message from somebody I haven't heard from before. Thank you, Angela, for reading and for complimenting my "poem."
2 years agoWhat a great concept for a ride! Have fun!
2 years agoYour verses are amazing
I have no problems with cheese
Great that you are again traveling
Time to feel the breeze.
A nice side benefit of touring close to home this year is not worrying about the price of gas getting to the start.
2 years agoI'll give it a try. Eager to see what you find in that cheesy area. I lived not too far away, in Savanna, IL ('78-85 I think), and remember some stuff up in that area.
2 years agoOnce while touring in Wisconsin a fellow cyclist came out and welcomed me and my touring partner to Minnesota - and it just so happens that he writes pretty good poetry for a Midwestern Touring Yokel! Can't wait to follow along as you live the good life touring Wisconsin.

I agree, not cheese. But, as the label says, it's a "cheese product."
