Thanks, Keith and Susan, for your good wishes!
2 years agoHi,
Sue and I are sending you our heartfelt wishes for a swift recovery. It’s a good thing you got the help you needed quickly. Sue’s sister also had such a hernia, and it too was both painful and frightening. Rest, and you will be back on the bike soon!
Our best to Janos.
Cheers,
Keith
Oh Suzanne, how scary that had to have been! For both of you. It is a true relief to have been taken care of so quickly and so well. Heal well by being patient with yourself. Healing thoughts sent your way.

2 years agoOh my goodness—glad you were treated quickly and successfully. And that it didn’t occur in the middle of your tour. Get well soon.

2 years agoHey, so fun to read about your trip as I just read Susan’s report this afternoon! The Black Forest looks very appealing.
2 years agoI agree the Black Forest looks like an amazing place to cycle and I bet it’s good for hiking! As usual, your photos are amazing. I’m glad the hotel had a restaurant and the menu sounded great even without Black Forest cake.
2 years agoWow! Those I big mushrooms!
2 years agoOh, those are some fine pictures--not only on this page, but throughout the journal. I've probably said this before on Cycle365, but the Black Forest has to be the most beautiful wooded area in the world. (And that's saying something considering my general distaste for view-blockers.)
2 years agoRats. I’m too slow.
2 years agoI love the waiter’s cow running by and he running after it! Sounds like you are have the great bike trip together. And great weather is surely a bonus.
