Yes, two warm chocolate chip cookies each! 😋 I’m so happy you managed to dodge the rain and hail. That would have been miserable.

That room looks great! I hear you also receive cookies upon check in. Our place is a step up from last night, but a similar price point. We do have a fridge and microwave and the restaurant is steps away. We were happy about that as it started raining about a half hour after we got in - really raining! Weather radar shows no rain for tomorrow, but only 43 degrees at noon, and high winds. 43 degrees and wet would be miserable. I'm trying to put a happy spin on this. Good news is weather looks great for riding into Waterton on Wednesday.

Thanks for the correction. My knowledge of geography is sadly stunted. And yes, truly an unforgettable day!

Truly a wonderful one! We feel so lucky to have arrived on the first day the road opened, and it’s going to snow again, so we hit it just right.

Ha, yes, they are splendorous. But that is the Continental Divide, which is part of the Rockies, not the Cascades. Congratulations on your ascent, all on your own power, well done! It looks like an unforgettable day in one of the most beautiful spots on earth.

Thanks. I haven’t been to Montana since I was a kid traveling with my mother (I don’t want to think about how long ago that was). And I’m really looking forward to it. The pictures of the area are stunning.

You'll be going through my old stomping grounds, the Bull River valley (Highway 56) and Libby. Enjoy, it is a beautiful time of year up there.

I had no idea about this special talent of Genny’s. Rich and I are looking forward to meeting you, too! We’ve heard so much about your adventures together with Jim and Genny.

Genny is the best at spotting lilies. Isn't that an odd specialty?

We look forward to meeting you in a few days.
