I don’t know. I think so, but the woman is an enrolled member of an Indian tribe and the police told me they could only send the report to the tribal authorities. Consensus of locals is that they (tribal authorities) won’t do anything.
4 months agoWow. Kill everything that moves!
Did the authorities ever contact the woman about her dog?
Agreed! It’s really nice to be pampered once in a while.
5 months agoYeah, and had to walk by it to go the bathroom. Ugh.
5 months agoYeah, I don’t understand hunting unless it’s for food. I had to walk by the bear to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night .
5 months agoYou really have to be a hunter to love that place. Wow. Sweet dreams!
5 months agoIt's so easy to move up in the world. I remember when I was happy to not be camping. Anything, as long as it was clean. Quality Inn was a luxury stay. Then I got to be more of a Best Western kind of person - my excuse is that I like a chair/couch to sit in because my back gets sore if I sit in bed too much.
Every once in a while we stay in someplace really, really nice - like this one. It's always because there's nothing else. But I surely do love a nice stay! Especially when there's a good breakfast like you enjoyed. The wounded woman deserves pampered!
That will wake you up in the middle of the night!

This lodge was such a treat. I asked Jim, and he said he likes kasanka better—maybe because of location. 🤷

Libby native here. My dad was mayor for 6 terms in the 70s and 80s. A lot has gone down in Libby since its heyday and I think a lot of people struggle there. This street was called "The Gut" and a lot of fossil fuel was burned by teenagers (not me, I didn't drive) going up and down this street almost every night. It's beautiful country up there. But Libby isn't much of a place, until you look up at the Cabinet Mountains.
