Thanks, Scott. You and Rachael are welcome any time.
3 years agoThanks for the ride with the pictures and all that interesting background information!
3 years agoAll good news - vaccinated and a move to a great location!
Looking forward to your journals from on the road!
You’re moving to HMB? Now that is exciting. It’s a lovely little spot, and one we’ll probably bike through again one of these years. Congrats on getting your shots - I got my first one this AM, and Rachael gets hers Thursday.
And thanks again for showing us around your neighborhood.
Slow streets. What a great idea!
3 years agoI enjoyed doing those cemetery rides for everyone as I always learned or saw something different all the time in the cemetery. It's a huge place with so much history.
3 years agoI hear ya. These are pretty old lumber so they're nice solid 12x's. A little narrow but not too bad to walk on when they're not rotten.
3 years agoThanks, Marilyn. It's easy to get jaded about your own neighborhood, isn't it? But trying to make sense of it for other people sure makes you look at things anew. That was the beauty of writing on Bike Life and doing the coffeeneuring etc. I loved reading about your local rides because they sure weren't local to me. I still remember the cemetery rides.
3 years agoThanks, Mike. Glad you enjoyed it.
3 years agoKathleen - I sure enjoy reading your journals! You always find such interesting things to see on your rides.

Nor to walk across the marsh on that tightrope, for that matter.
3 years agoThank you Kathleen for another informative and interesting report.

Thanks, Marilyn. You just never know what you'll learn when you get out of the house, right?
4 years agoKathleen - I really have enjoyed reading your journal! You find such interesting things to see near home. And you stop to read plaques!

Thanks, Suzanne. Hope things in Germany get better soon and the vaccines get out there to you, and to my brother and sister-in-law in Saarland.
