6 years agoYou are so right.
And today we hit a few bad spots in the industrial area by Mannheim. After having just met a couple of French riders on their trikes (also on their way to the Spezi), we both thought how hard it would be on a trike,
Tomorrow, we go to the Spezi. Stay tuned for some weird and wonderful bikes.

We passed through a section the last few days with frequent really tight barriers and every time we commented on how hard it would be to go through them with a tandem.
6 years agoFunny, coffee and a bakery treat are all Steve needs to make him a happy camper also.
6 years agoGood one Steve. It is a relief to have had some good and challenging rides the past few days to test our bike. We leave tomorrow to start riding the Rhine south from Koblenz.
Enjoying your progress in France - your tips are appreciated.

(Your friends, Max and Erika have been in touch as well and we have shared experiences we had in Limburg.)
Greetings from Germany
We have appreciated your comments as well as your personal reflections of your time here. It was great to hear about your experience in Limburg at the Cathedral. Like you, we also love Germany and we have the good fortune of coming back here every year as we store our bike here with friends we met cycling along the Rhine 5 years ago.
Hope you are having a good Spring in Victoria.
Regards
Barry and Mary Ellen Bartlett
We agree with you. Riding in Europe is so great, and the bakeries are just the icing on the cake ~ hahaha.
6 years agoReally enjoyed this day's entry. In case you don't know who we are, we are from Victoria (soon to be Mill Bay) and are good friends of the Grampies.
6 years agoVery much enjoying the pictures and commentary about Limburg. We were standing outside admiring the cathedral a few years ago as a procession went by with a fairly new Cardinal leading it and as he passed he paused to turn and bless us. While we are not Catholic, it was still rather endearing :)
