Have him take up chess. It’s easy to compete over the internet now. He could over the blog, but we’d miss your unique voice.
3 years agoHilarious!! Great writing!
3 years agoThanks Frank. I too am an expert at losing things, but very glad I got the pannier back! I would have had an uncomfortable night without it
3 years agoI have enjoyed your blog as for losing a pannier I have lost many things in my travels on the bike or left behind at a campsite keep smiling .
Great writing xx
Thanks Scott. It was a great cycling day.

3 years agoYes, we were very fortunate. Many people commented that they'd seen it and I eventually spoke to the family who picked it up and hung it on the fence. They debated taking it to the police but decided to leave it on the assumption (rightly!) that someone would come looking for it. And I'm so glad for the shuttle bus: I'm not cycling fit yet and the extra 36km down and back to get it would have cooked me.
I'm sorry about your experience in Spain: I hope it is now far enough in the past to have become a good story and nothing more.
Nice that you got it back! We had our own not-smart episode in Spain years ago, and weren’t as lucky as you. Even not-smarter, we lost the one with our passports and had to abort the tour.
3 years agoGreat plan! We've quit our jobs three times to travel touring by bike, you'll not regret the decision.
Racpat
Surprisingly it was not mouldy (visibly anyway) but was certainly dehydrated and much the worse for wear.
I didn't eat it.
What was it like after a week in the car?
3 years agoIt's a great photo. I frequently complain about mozzies but I've never seen anything like that.
Take care.
I must confess I skipped my morning shower after seeing this and knowing we were in an apartment that night😏

Hi Catherine
3 years agoPannier theft -I have never heard of that before.
It would be difficult riding with one front pannier.
How did your re-arrange the load?
