What a great story. I’m glad you gave us the whole thing. No wonder you’d plan to ride 80 miles in a day to see your cousin.
7 months agoIDK what it takes to get signed up - but we have purchased several 3D printed bicycle items on Shapeways.com. I bet those flag holders David made for you would be of interest to other P-38 riders.

7 months agoThis was such a delightful story of you family and background. I enjoyed it a lot and it brought back a few memories of my own growing up years. You did have a big family to gather together.!

We finally have a similar law in BC but 1 metre really isn't enough, especially on a highway.

Yeah, famous folks are just regular people too. Known a few myself. Probably not famous as ol' Tommy though... Remember Lynda Carter? Knew her in college when she was in high school and sang as lead female vocalist for a local garage band "Just Us" but lost contact over the years. Body painted flowers on her arms and face many times for performances. Wikipedia article mentions the band. The vibraphones player (Melanie Searle) gave me a little book as a goodbye gift and I still have it... Memories!
That's a great baseball story!
7 months agoFirst the cover got sticky, then the whole lens. It would close and then open up again. It took a few tries to get the lens to stay closed. I pulled the battery before I sent it home. I feared it would not fare well on a long camping trip.
