3 months agoThanks, Dodie! They look related to sunflowers but have no seeds, so I was wondering. I have seen them closer to home, too.
3 months agoI (Dodie) was thinking about this crop all day while pedalling and believe I now have it identified. Jerusalem Artichokes! Also known as Sun Chokes. A relative of sunflowers, but grown for their edible tubers. Sort of like a somewhat mealy potato. I have some that come up every year at home.
