Yup, and it is on wheels. The place is all set up for guests with youngsters - there’s a crib in the bedroom and a bassinet in the bath. If the Gumbys decide on a big new life plan, they’d be all set here.

Yup. That looks like about the norm here in the interior, or even on the high side if you avoid hotels. We are intentionally not trying to economize, since supporting their economy is our excuse for being here. I can’t tell if the prices are lower because of the pandemic, but I think you could have an economical trip even in a normal year.

$55/night for a fully furnished apartment?! Croatia could be a good destination for a Grumby Tour.

Very nice!

Is that high chair on a big platform with wheels? I haven't seen one like that before .. and am remembering the clunky and heavy metal one that my mom had.

Aaaagh!

Brings back painful memories of the construction zone on Highway 12/Lolo Pass.

Wonderful that you got to talk with Donata before you left!

Hah, hah. Actually though, I think this is a staged display in front of a small winery beneath the church.

Aka Targetus practicum or in the vernacular, "out-to-the-gravel-pit".

Thanks, Suzanne. I was meaning to research this. Surely must be right though. I wonder if he’s pouring water or wine on the blaze?

Looks like St. Florian, patron saint of firefighters.

Yes, but he’s getting a pretty warped idea of what this country is like. We’ll have to show him a vineyard or vista before long.

I think the structure is scaffolding for a protective netting covering an apple orchard - to keep the starlings away, presumably.

Also, too, love today's video! Beautiful ride and I think I only saw one (moving) motor vehicle.

Do you know what the structures to the right are at the end? Look too high to be for grapes and too low for hops.
