BC Ferries could do so much better with bicycles, starting with some better space on the car deck. I have sent emails, get a lovely response, but no action. You have reminded me to try again.

I'm definitely going to contact a tourism office up there regarding a shift in those Toronto barriers to create a proper protected bike lane. Funneling cyclists in and out through the center, making them go across so many lanes of traffic, is inviting a collision.

Now that’s the cycling life. Nice.

Your ride immediately post ferry brought back a memory of the first time Keith and I rode from our home in Victoria to Vancouver. It was a wonderful ride and we agreed the only sketchy bit was leaving the ferry. All that traffic. That is when the penny dropped that all we had to do was wait fifteen minutes and we would have had the causeway to ourselves. How we laughed. You were much wiser, it is just too bad you had two ferries one after the other.

I'll have to play with that in prep for future travels. Now that I'm home I can an access the custom embed on my laptop. Don't understand why it isn't an option in the app (on my phone at least).

If referring to YPL, it definitely requires booking ahead for much of the year. If the Island or park in particular, taking ferries along the Sunshine Coast and connecting with the islands can make for an incredible scenic trip of a few days to a couple of weeks.

I love this. This was a spot we planned on biking to someday but never fit in.

I’d call that a proper lunch alright. French cuisine is renowned.

Love to see a bike without a sloping top tube.

Thank you for the offer, but Wednesday it’s up to Duke Point to catch a ferry back to Tsawwassen and my car.

Only worth the walk if you are having a picnic and need a place to have it.

Too bad we didn't know your Plan earlier. We live south of Duncan, and even though we are not home (Europe) we could have had our farm sitter let you in. Warm showers without the host and very comfortable spot. Are you coming home the same way? We could try to arrange something for when you return if so.
