Hey guys. Glad to hear that your AFD streak continues. Seems like you're hitting your groove down there in Tucson.

Our good bicycle friends, Dave and Edna, have a park model at the Prince RV Park, just to your left in this photo. They love the easy loop access.

Hey, that’s my vintage! 46 was a very good year, obviously. The next time I’m out I should look for the oldest and newest posters in the series.

It's lucky when you have a partner to help you stay on script. We've made a new checklist for drives into town from the boonies. Each trip involves stops for recycling, groceries, bike service, rides, shopping, dinner and what have you. The exercise of writing it all down is helpful, but success still seems to depend on one of us asking "do we have the ______?"

Maybe you've already solved your SD card issue, but I was just thinking that the campus bookstore might have them.

I love how the start/end of the ride looks like my Etch-A-Sketch attempts.

Yay is right! Before last year we would typically go months at a time without a good or bad story day to share. Life really is starting to feel normal again.

Yes. In fact, ice been looking for a spot to cite that. I haven’t told you I don’t think, but afterwards I was surprised to see the same thing happened to both of us just over a year ago (speaking of aging and memory issues!). I was reading Rose Parkin’s latest journal and it prompted me to reread of our own experience in Teruel. I was shocked to be reminded we have a second similar incident in our past, when we were locked together inside the room of our hotel by a service worker, our only key to it in the cellar with our bikes and needing one to let ourselves out: https://www.cycleblaze.com/journals/taspain23/teruel-day-1/. How could I have possibly forgotten that in only a year?

Thanks for the Gila replies, Rachael …I am not a “desert rat” thus unaware of many known monikers for the southern end of our state, including neighboring AZ.

With regard to DT let’s hope the backwater flows to DC from CA :)

It’s only been one full week and many are already wondering how we will make it through 4 years.
