Exactly right. I’m a very lucky man.

I know you both can handle anything as long as you have each other.

Oh man.....I'd personally rather see you on a bike than a hospital bed. Hang in there.

The hallucinatory description you wrote about reminded me of a very similar experience I had while flying into Seattle about 15 years ago. I was looking out the window when, suddenly, I felt a pain in the eye nearest the window. I thought maybe I got a case of sunblindness, so I closed my eyes. That's when the psychedelic colors flooded my right eye. It lasted several minutes. Then I got a pretty bad headache. At first, I tried to rationalize the kaleidoscopic vision by blaming the bright sun or the descent from 30,000 feet to sea level. Whatever the reason, I knew I had to visit whatever medical help I could find at Sea-tac.

After landing, the liquid colors disappeared, and the headache subsided enough that I claimed my rental car, drove to Seattle, rented a bicycle, and visited my son trouble-free for three days.

To this day, though, I still wonder what that was all about.

What a crazy day. I’m glad you finally got some answers. I agree with the others, driving in this situation probably wasn’t the best idea, but I also know in a stressful situation logic is not the first thing that comes to mind. It’s really the pits when life throws a bunch of bad stuff at you all at once. It does make for edge-of-the-seat reading though. Here’s hoping things continue from here on a positive trajectory.

Good grief! Your description is amazing, Scott and you are so brave to take a walk on the wild side to share it with anyone who will accompany you. I hope you will continue to share even though your biking time is on hold for now.

The description of the visual effects took you into a new realm of prose description. I think you did it exceptionally well. But I hope this will resolve soon for you.

This sounds like Alice going down the rabbit hole..with or without the psychedelics. The mind is..mind boggling! I really hope the suspense and situation you are setting here is a “poof”, it’s gone by the end of 2024. 🙏
