Yes! I’ve taken so many cloud photos here. Living in the mountains is great, but there’s something about feeling the full expression of the sky.
10 months agoWhy am I thinking that looks like a Georgia O'Keeffe sky? Beautiful shot!
10 months agoPied-billed grebes are really tiny birds, as far as waterfowl go. Pretty near-sighted too, I think. He probably couldn’t read the sign way above his head, even if he could read in the first place. They should probably place some warnings at ground level.

10 months agoThanks for the work around by the VA. Tough zone last year when we were there and a section we just worked through. 29 days and counting.
Have you ever ridden to the airport? Recommendations? At some point we will need to get there for a rental.

10 months agoI rarely see them. Usually late fall, early winter. Was unusually warm that day but not as warm as a few years ago when it was about 10 degrees warmer. I think they just adjust as the temperatures change.
10 months agoInteresting. It looks like you’re north of its range map outside of breeding season. I wonder if they’re being pushed north by climate change.

Thanks, Rich. I was really pleased that it came out as I saw it.
