I don't stitch anything onto my waterproof gear and I suspect that might be the reason you stopped too. When our older son was in Scouts, the idea was to stitch badges/patches from events onto a "campfire blanket". I can't remember if we ever followed through...
1 year agoYup. I was really excited to find this. I’ll look forward to opening it up this summer and see all the music I’d forgotten we had.
1 year agoI know. I was mad at myself for giving it away without remembering to take a photo of it. I’ll have to go back through our digital archive to see if we have a photo of it from the condo.
1 year agoNo picture of the tansu? I was really curious.
1 year agoGood job! Having done that ourselves recently as we downsized to a new much smaller home in Arizona, it's amazing what you think you really need. We still have a small storage space that's full of things - mostly geneology files and Don's model trains which are waiting to be sold. I find it easier to get rid of things while Don is the opposite.
1 year agoI feel for you! It's hard to get rid of stuff. You wouldn't have it if there weren't a reason. But you'll be that much "lighter" when it's gone.
Now if I could just convince myself of the same thing...
Motown and Miles!
1 year agoI think you've made a good decision. You have to be ruthless and while offloading stuff can be hard to do, once it's gone, you soon forget you ever had it.
1 year agoGreat job! I know that's not easy.
1 year agoYes, I know. This shot came to mind every time I saw those.
1 year agoYes. That’s true for several of the shots on this unpublished tour. I don’t know what that was about, but I think it was the last one shot on an instamatic.
1 year agoYou're before your time.
1 year agoThis one looks like a watercolour.
1 year agoI love a good broom photo. Graham Finch has dedicated a couple of them to me.

It’s not that, because we’ve never had waterproof bags. Thinking back, I think it was a maintenance issue - they’d come unstitched and start falling off, and when we changed to new bags it wasn’t worth the bother to move them. And, I think we may have lost some with the pannier we lost in Spain along with our passports.
