I don't think it's a white pine because they have five needles in a cluster. This one looks like a cluster of two, if that's possible for a cluster. There is another term that I'm not coming up with.
2 years agoYup. Didn’t even see him coming when I stopped for the shot.

2 years agoIt would be kind of fun to give a bunch of people in their cars a show. Might cause accidents though.
2 years agoI did think of that, but on the corner of a busy intersection it seems a bit too plein air.
2 years agoNow you tell me! Why did this never come up over coffee while there was still time to change the plan?
2 years agoWell, I did think of you at least when we biked past. It hasn’t even been two years though. Too soon.
2 years agoSeriously. We’ve never been down here in lambing season before. Delightful.
2 years agoWe always use cardboard boxes for our Bikes Friday, as you know. Easy to throw away and fairly easy to make new ones when the time comes. But, I noticed luggage stores in Bangkok that sold huge hard-shell suitcases for very little money. Maybe you should change your plans. Leave here with throwaway cardboard boxes and then pick up cheap suitcases for your return from Bangkok whenever you decide to come home. It's funny you haven't consulted me by now. I can solve all your travel problems.
2 years agoMaybe it means free use of it. You never know.

Bundle is the descriptor you’re looking for, I think. And if you’re right that this is a twoper then it’s likely a lodgepole pine. The other possibility is the ponderosa, which has three per bundle and might be more likely in the Willamette Valley.
