4 years agoJoshua trees are a distinguishing characteristic of the Mojave Desert and Saguaro cacti are a distinguishing characteristic of the somewhat lower and "generally" warmer Sonoran Desert. There are other characteristics as well. Here is a web site with nice, succinct coverage of our southwest deserts.

4 years agoYes,but on the other hand at least it’s the tire I’ve been pumping up daily for the last three weeks because it has a slow leak. I think its patch failed.

4 years agoLooks like a male side blotched lizard. You can see them even in the dead of winter on warm days. One of the most common lizards, and a staple in the diet of roadrunners.
