The landscape: like a samosa!
Prepared by my friend Ana Rosa
Crimpy and bright
Upright and polite
We gaze and say, "¡Ay! ¡Qué hermosa!"

Spectacles! Oh, where?
They're refusing to be found!!
Maybe still hiding?

"A dime a dozen"

Interesting. When I was in college, I could sell them to a guy for a dime apiece. That's what I did for spending (survival) money as a starving student. Saturdays were for "herping."

I find lichen encrusted rocks with all their varied hues and textures to be fascinating. Lichenology would be a great thing to get into if only I was 50 years younger!

It’s quite a place, alright. And I think not too well known, and not too crowded. There are so many other places when people think of Utah that it gets overlooked. All the better.

We just watched Hunt for the Wilderpeople, which put the haiku back on my radar.

Have you and Rachael seen that movie? It's available on Kanopy and Netflix, too, I believe.

Damsel in distress!
In tire-swallowing gravel
Pushing bike, she wails.

Wow! That video! I see rain coming back to our forecast here and that trail and scenery look pretty awesome.

And love that version of Sweet Child o' Mine.

It makes me want to bike it too. Especially going this direction. The Gumby Shuttle could pick us up at the bottom, at Amboy.
