We are thinking of following your tracks (and team anderson) in about 4 days around the Salzkammergut. Do you have, can you email us, the gpx for your route? If yes, please send asap to shadybrook at shaw dot ca. Thanks from the Grampies.

2 years agoOooh that’s tempting! If we did, we would have continued to follow your route and cut west at Udine … that’s still on our (ever endless) list! Continued safe travels on the rest of your trip. We’re both very interested to see how the UK portion turns out (reminiscing for us!)
Thanks for following along and providing the breadcrumbs.
Sorry that map seems to have disappeared, but you found the right route of course - and even the right lunch stop! Sorry to see your tour end, we were enjoying reminiscing. Are you sure you can’t stay another week and bike south to Italy?
2 years agoI am not liking that middle part.
2 years agoJust a little bit more than the halfway point between the two would be perfect for cycling. Getting hit with 30 °c straight from Canmore was a bit too much!
2 years agoAmazing weather you are having. We woke up to -2C this morning.

2 years agoLove the Wedgewood look!
2 years agoComplete agreement with that! One of the few places when you ride into it and all you can muster is Wow!
2 years agoI’m so glad this ride worked out for you and the weather cooperated. As you said, it’s all great; but the miles along the lower Traunsee are mind-blowing.
2 years agoGorgeous!
2 years agoBut of course we did …. We are really working hard to ‘sincerely flatter’ the two of you! We also need to get a couple of tough hikes in. One reason we’re only staying here for a week is that shortly after we get back we are leaving for a multi-day hike in Peru. Over 100km’s at altitudes between 4200 and 5000m! There is no hiking at home yet …. Only skiing! Just got word from folks back in Canmore that 10- 20 cm of snow fell again yesterday! We saw your comment about feeling bad about the good weather you are having in France compared to the rain in Portland. At least they’re not getting snow in May 😳. Very happy we did the hike, great all round day with the hike, the train and the ferry! The fog at the top added Something unique too.
