9 months agoRachael and I had a few for the first and last time last fall, somewhere in southern Spain. They were one of a series of small delicacies. Interesting.

I tried snails once... while in Spain in 1977. Seemed chewy with a hint of dirt flavor. Maybe I'm just not European enough.
I think I'll pass on that...

They are edible though... but taste like dirt to me. In any case, you can cook them up if in a pinch for lunch.

OK, this is nervy. But Roger's back problems are causing me to have sympathetic back pain. I'm too empathetic! To make my back feel better, I'm going to offer unsolicited advice.
9 months agoEvery back is different, but I was able to cure my back problems using Esther Gokhale's book "8 Steps to a pain-free back". It doesn't work instantly but for me, it led me carefully to a life without major back pain. I can't recommend it highly enough.
I hope Roger heals and doesn't need it! But if he's interested...
