It might just be a coincidence but in the Transkei area of the Eastern Cape in South Africa is a hill called Mount Frere, also name after Sir Henry Bartle Edward Frere, the elevation of which is very similar to that of Mount Bartle Frere, namely 1612.7 meters above sea level.

3 years agoDefinitely looks like crocodile country though. Wouldn’t advise swimming there.

3 years agoHi Lednar, thank you for the tip but my phone isn't wet at all. It just falsely displays the moisture warning symbol. I'll take it to a phone repair shop when I get to Cairns.
It's definitely a bit of a rip off what some caravan parks charge. I know when I go across the 'top end' things should get a lot cheaper so all is good.
