I enjoyed it myself; and unwittingly it seemed like just the right brew for the day.

This makes me want to spend 10 minutes on each craft .. to feel the difference of perspective.

Don't use it up too soon! We're hoping your good weather karma in France will be beneficial for us. Everything is Trumps fault!!

You are having an incredible tour of the UK. What a day to be in England, ‘a changing of the guard’.

It’s because the hill wasn’t converted to a public space until the 1880’s. That’s when the Drake and Armada Memorials and Norrington’s Fountain (an image I omitted but have since added) and the lighthouse were placed, together with some initial features that no longer exist - in particular the Plymouth Pier, which was demolished after it was damaged by a German bombing raid in World War Two.

There’s more to Plymouth than Hoe Park. There are numerous mentions of it down at the harbor, as well as Darwin’s Voyage of the Beagle which also set sail from here.

And not a single mention of the Mayflower?

Surprised it took them 300 years to get around to putting something up.

How could you NOT go to a place called Newton Poppleford?
