Scott Anderson replied to a comment by Suzanne Gibson on In Ludlow: for want of a key, the day was lost

We’ve survived way worse, but we are ready for a break from coming up with good story material. We’re ready for a sting of boring, normal days.

Could be, but unlikely. I’m not much of a shopper. Food, beer, transportation, replacing broken cameras and lost glasses. That’s about it.

OK .. that's a little disturbing.

Were it not for the feet, I would have thought this bird was alive.

It's Upside Down Day! Rachael's frown and the taxidermied bird!

Frown turned upside down!

And love those shoes. 😁

Love this scene!

Looks like just what a doctor would order to recover from the adversity of the morning.

I see you hit a charity shop - thrift store. It may become a habit.

They’re not wearing all that well with us either! I miss the fens.

How nice! I used to play in a recorder quartet years ago. I especially loved the bass recorder (on the left in the picture) and tenor as they were so mellow sounding. But I could play and had all of the other ones - from alto to soprano to the tiny sopranino. Our group would dress up in Rennaisance costumes and perform at various places.

Such beautiful country! But the grades would kill us. We'd be walking up every climb.

All's well that ends back indoors eventually.

Those curved window frames must've presented quite a challenge to whoever made them.

"So long boys, have fun storming the castle!
Think it'll work?
It'd take a miracle... bye bye!"

Terrible situation! But it could have been worse, like if you didn't have a cell phone with you! And it seems you had a bit of money, also a help.
Hope the heat lets up soon. We are home now and out of the heat wave. 22C is feeling kind of chilly.

I haven’t heard of that one. My connection is with Port Ludlow on Puget Sound.

Excellent idea. Ranks right up there with dragging the soles of your shoes on the pavement. What could go wrong?
