As I'm sure you already did, I googled "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch" and found that it means "The church of St. Mary of the pool of the white hazels near to the fierce whirlpool the church of St.Tysilio of the red cave." It's purported to have the longest name in Europe and the second longest one-word place name in the world.
Very interesting... very interesting indeed!
When I first saw this my guess was it was of nearby Humber Bridge (the thing was rolled up), so it was a surprise to find it was from across the pond. I imagine it's 1960s and for a quid (a buck), it's easy to forgive the lack of realism.

I returned to Wales for a few days of cycling, but didn't get to any unusually named places. I'll be updating that journal here now that I am back home.
