“Green Bear” is a bronze sculpture by Leo Fromich Lankinen and Valter Soyni of Russia, given to Duluth from its sister city of Petrozavodsk. The piece represents peace and harmony between nations as well as between people and three types of life —human, animal and plant. Given to the city during the Cold War years, the bears represent the two great powers of the time, the United States and Russia. The bears stand head-to-head and between them is a flower, which portrays protecting and nurturing nature. The open space between the two bears resembles a small child.

You are right about Lavosh, sometimes it is spelled Lavash. You must go to Atlanta more than me, you seem to know a lot about Georgia.
You are also right that it is good to respect Minnesota. You would like biking here for sure.
Mississippi water is a little faster than you think.

Once again near my "old stomping grounds". Some years ago I did some fishing on Mille Lacs. Caught small muskie and larger walleye.

it's 31 feet long, made of cedar and redwood covered with concrete scales. It was designed and built by Warren Ballard outside his Nevis taxidermy shop. Minnesota Governor Luther Youngdahl dedicated the big fish on August 22, 1950, to honor tourists who spent their vacations (and dollars) in the state.
