2 years agoGreat photo! I can imagine how exciting it was to see his first sheep. I still get excited by seeing them!
2 years agoThe mother of invention.
2 years agoBeautiful. Should become a permanent part of the kit.
2 years agoThank you so much! It really means a lot to us. We were a bit worried about the reaction, that some people might think we are bad parents for doing this, so this nomination is a really wonderful surprise!
2 years agoThank you so much Sue, I’m happy to hear that you are still following!
2 years agoThat is colourful. Should encourage people to pass slowly.
2 years agoIt is so fun to read this journal, Chris! Such a different take on cycle touring and just as entertaining to read as your others. Plus, Kevin is just too sweet! Thank you for continuing to share your love of cycle touring with us all
2 years agoIt just shows you are real touring cyclists. I am always highly suspicious of those whose gear is always in perfect order.
2 years agoHow lovely to have found you again. Delighted to see your young Kevin. Congratulations to you both.
I followed you from the begining of your cycling around the world. Oh you would leave one on a cliff hanger.
Then purchased and read your journeies again in your two books.
Well done looking forward to reading this journey. Thank you. Kia kaha, kia atawhai, kia ora!
Beautiful image, the little cheerful Kevin with the imposant trees behind him!
2 years agoI agree!
2 years agoSixty-plus years ago, my parents took me (car) camping. I was six months or so old but it was also their first ever camping trip. It wasn't until I had kids that I realized their courage.
2 years agoAgreed, they are ticking all the boxes for good parents.

Hi Glen,
2 years agoThanks so much!
Good to hear you read my first two books, but I actually wrote three books about cycling around the world! In case you missed the third one it’s called Different Parts of Everywhere.
Thanks again and all the best
Chris
