This crop has not been flattened by a storm but is in the process of being harvested. Some kind of choy I would say. There are so many choys that I couldn't say for certain which one.

That looks like it, alright. It doesn’t look like we’re anywhere near its fruit-bearing season though.

Thanks, Jen. Slowing down for a few days and moving back to the ‘dry’ (that is, less wet) side of the island was the right plan. Not quite normal yet, but doing much better.

That’s because it isn’t a true lily, cannas are another genus altogether, but for some reason people call them “canna lilies”. Their leaves are striking and they are very colorful but their asymmetrically formed blossoms always seem too random to me, they grow best in somebody else’s yard.
