That’s a problem at lunch alright, but then we’ll be just staying indoors for the next three hours hiding out from the hottest hours of the day anyway. A great time for a nap.

We learned, on our first trip to France, that wine at lunch makes us absolutely useless for the remainder of the day's ride so we avoid it. End of the day works better for us.
