This so quintessentially French!

That’s a pretty good analogy.looking at the entire week-long experience it was quite an ordeal.

What an Odyssey - I bet you felt like you were trying to get to Mordor (rather than Provence)!

What a great day you each had! Sorry to hear about Rachael's foot problem, arriving just as her sinus/ear ailments seem to have cleared up

You’ve made it down to Camprodon! Congratulations! I’m glad it’s worked out well for you and you’ve gotten such good weather. I’m sure enjoy both Ceret and Coullioure when you get there too. We’re also going to each of them on our way to Barcelona and will be about a month behind you.

So glad to read about your relaxing day, the sunny weather and improving health!
We’re on our way to Camprodon having more or less followed your trail from Uncastillo. It’s a truly remarkable landscape that seems impossible to capture in a photo. Every day impossibly more spectacular than the previous. We’ve thankfully only had one day of rain in the last couple of weeks and lately those amazing blue skies you had.
So thanks again for lighting the way!
In another 3 days we’ll be crossing back into France into Ceret & Collioure. It will be sad to leave this behind us.
Hope your recovery continues well and no more dramas!

Hey, that’s it! The second nearby tower - another flour mill, I assume - cinches it. Another ⭐️ comes your way. Keep this up and you’ll be a strong contender for this year’s MVR award.

Looks like maybe this structure. If so, your guess is correct. https://www.flickr.com/photos/gildub/48288787032/in/photostream/

Throw some beads around that guy's head and from a distance you might think something else is going on.

Getting together with both of you was a highlight of our trip!

That’s funny. I had gone back and read Zappa’s biography for insight on what you might have meant, thinking maybe they were notoriously ill-fated or something.

And I think Patrick is wrong - I expect it to hold up fine until we get home - it’s not even two months now, and we have a lot of layover days when we’re not carrying the panniers anyway! I don’t want to replace it because I’m pretty sure we’ve got an old pannier in storage I can salvage a panel from.

Definitely interesting times, but hopefully we’re out of the woods now. The last two days have been fine, and we’re both steadily feeling better. Its so great to be back in the sun!

Hadn’t realized what long tiring day you had to get to Saint Remy. We are feeling so so appreciative of your effort and logistics to get together with us for dinner. It was a special evening for us. Thanks so much!

Holy cow, you've had a tough time lately! Fingers crossed that it's smooth sailing from now on.

Oops. That comment should have been attached to your photo of the bag repair. Would have more context. Frank's band was the Mothers of Invention.

An, yes, very definitely a compliment on your creativity.
