I have lettuce envy. Must be time to plant some more seeds.

My last such visit was in Bilbao, when one of my tires lost a lot of pressure overnight after I’d pumped it up while reassembling the bike. I took it to a shop to check it since i had the opportunity. The mechanic (owner?) unseated the tire to check the sealant and reseated it, not always easy with tubeless tires. Whatever the problem had been, it was gone. No charge. I had a similar experience in Barcelona with my old bike when I wasn’t sure I had the headset properly tightened (fork had to come off for packing). Headset was tightened and the mechanic showed me how to check. No charge.

I do the same thing. That’s not what happened here though - I’ve been wanting to pick up another jersey anyway. I wonder if they would have charged something for the work if I hadn’t bought anything though.

Whenever a bike shop does a service for me and doesn’t charge anything, I try to buy something. It’s never been a jersey though, not yet, because so few carry anything in women’s sizes.

Castor beans, just like outside our back door when I was a kid in CA, but without the canoe.

I do too. They’re distinctive, colorful and stylish. I’ve seen a few others with the same style in this region but they’re not really quite like any others we’ve come across.

You’re right, she does have that ragdoll look. I was glad she’d stay put long enough for a good look.

A ragdoll siamese, maybe? Beautiful kitty.

Many more places in Europe could use handholds of some sort. We all know how slick those pavers are when wet.

I remember a road exactly like this last year. It was so beautiful and low traffic, but when a car did come along there really was no place to go so I know exactly what you mean. In our case as we squeezed up to the plane trees when a car approached there was also a massive root bump in the asphalt. We were grateful for the off season as well.
