A well earned break!

1 year agoGood to read of your adventures again. Keep those photos and entries coming 👍🏻 😊
1 year agoSorry, I’m a cloud fanatic. And you’ve caught some beautiful ones!
1 year agoHi Michael and Ann Your description of the clouds of flies reminds me of a day cycling a zillion years ago when in England. First, I'd cycled down wind of a tractor spreading slurry and then through thick clouds of green-fly. I recall wiping them off my face where they'd thickly plastered themselves. Fortunately my sensibilities were restored by further miles winding my way alongside ripe strawberry fields.

1 year agoOooh! Looking forward to following along on this one! It’s good to see you’re back on the road.
1 year agoHave been following your Italian trip and previous Provence trip for some pointers Scott. Sounded really interesting. The bike lifting on the bridge was a truly a case of international cooperation!
Cheers, Michael
July might be a sensible month to avoid some of these blasts from the Baltic Trish! Good luck with your planning, Michael & Ann
1 year agoWe’ll enjoy all of this I’m sure, but for now it’s great to see the fens again. We stayed in Ely and Bury for several days each and were delighted by the region. I think I remember that bridge!
And thanks for reminding me about Waterlands, a novel I read probably 20 years ago before I knew what the fens were. I’ll have to reread it with a different eye.
Great that you are back on your cycling adventures. We intend going in early July it seems so long since we had. European cycle trip which was pre Covid
