It has actually been fairly warm here in the more northern parts of France, and this close to the Atlantic the climate is milder than inland.

Dodie says that is how she identified it from a distance. She thinks it looks like a hammerhead also.

Hi Steve and Dodie, following your trip with interest. As for time and distance- in 2018 we took a couple of days to get from Roman to La Rochelle, then going inland on La Francette. In 2023 it took us about 4 days to get from La Rochelle to Blain. There was a lot of marais in between which you might wish to circumvent.

This type of tomato can be “tasteless” like the strawberry..As in “not enough sun” to give it the sweet flavors..
