Yikes! So glad you made it safe and sound, though wet. We had such a great time traveling with you and Jim, in spite of the dog incident and my broken collarbone. And we were lucky we didn’t all get drenched earlier in the tour. Safe travels for the remainder of your journey, and see you soon!

4 months agoI have read of geese taking nesting platforms intended for ospreys because they nest earlier than ospreys... Maybe it is intended to make geese think platforms are already taken... Merely my guess.

4 months agoI can't believe I beat Bill to this. Tiarella trifoliata, or foamflower. I decorated my daughter's 1st birthday cake with this (we lived on the Bull Lake Road at the time), and nobody died!
